Initiatives: Let's Show That Bosnia Is More Than a State, That Bosnia Is History

Adnan Bajrić, the initiator of the idea to brand state symbols, sent a letter to all relevant institutions, reports the Patria News Agency.

- We are writing on behalf of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, fans of national football and handball teams... and those who live in the homeland and diaspora, regarding state symbols of the first rank. We are writing to you because of the coat of arms and flag of BiH, because it is not an ordinary piece of cloth, it is not a form, it is not just a mere emblem. These are state symbols, they are loved, worn all over the country and the world, it is stated with happiness and pride. They are defended in times of trouble, aggression and war, they have been placed at the top of mountains, scientific and technical, artistic and sports challenges and achievements, results and victories for who knows how many times. This is how we mark ourselves and are recognized, this is how we have shown ourselves and others that we come from Bosnia and Herzegovina – the letter states.

A group of citizens also thanked the media for their work in affirming the state and civic duty, for branding state symbols, which they particularly highlight on state dates such as March 1st, Independence Day, and November 25th, Statehood Day.

- Thank you for us, but also for others who know about Bosnia, come as tourists, cooperate with us. Let's show that Bosnia is more than a state, that Bosnia is history and that perhaps some ancient Bosnia was the cradle of civilization. the letter adds.
