CITIZENS' INITIATIVE First session held in Nevesinje

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Citizens' Initiative of Mostar, supported by PRO-Budućnost, began its project activities on Sunday.

The first one-day activity within the project was held in Nevesinje, with the participation of 30 women from three local communities: Mostar, Široki Brijeg, and Nevesinje.

On behalf of the organizers, the president of the Citizens' Initiative of Mostar, Ifeta Ćesri-Škoro, addressed the attendees, emphasizing that through this project, the Citizens' Initiative of Mostar continues its continuous work on connecting people, aiming to transform their differences into something that unites them rather than divides them.

The Citizens' Initiative of Mostar has become recognized as an organization that wants to bring forward people and positive stories that can contribute to overcoming problems and differences. She further stated that establishing trust among peoples is the most important step towards final reconciliation in our country, and our activity is precisely focused on building trust.

PRO-Budućnost is a USAID project for building peace and trust among citizens of all ethnic and religious groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is implemented by the American humanitarian organization Catholic Relief Services CRS, with partners: Caritas BiH, Institute for Youth Development KULT, Forum of Citizens of Tuzla (FGT), Helsinki Citizens' Assembly Banja Luka (hCA), and the Interreligious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina (MRV).

The next activity will be in Široki Brijeg, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner.
