The German Bundestag decided on October 15, 2015 to amend the German asylum law, reports the news agency Patria.
The Asylum Procedure Acceleration Act, which came into force on October 24, 2015, aims, among other things, at the swift and consistent enforcement of the obligation to leave the country.
Persons whose asylum applications have been finally rejected must leave Germany again. Those who do not leave Germany voluntarily and in a timely manner will be deported.
Specific deadlines for deportation will no longer be announced in the future. In addition, in case of untimely departure from the country or deportation, re-entry bans to the entire Schengen area may be imposed. This will also apply to persons who submit asylum applications in Germany with the intention of abuse.
For people who do not have a passport or other identification document, deportation to their home country with a European identification document will increasingly be made possible in the future, announced the German Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
