(Patria) – The number of new coronavirus infections in India jumped again on Wednesday, just a day after falling to its lowest level in a month.
According to data from the federal health ministry, 83,347 new cases of infection and 1,085 deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.
India, with a population of 1.4 billion, is at the top of the world rankings for the number of infected people, immediately after the USA.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, as many as 5,646,010 infected and 90,021 deaths have been recorded there.
Healthcare services in this developing country are unable to meet the needs of the population, especially in crisis situations such as an epidemic.
