Inzko congratulates Kordić: A huge responsibility and a long list of priorities lie ahead of you

(Patria) - High Representative Valentin Inzko sent congratulations to the newly elected Mayor of the City of Mostar, Dr. Mario Kordić, as well as to the Mostar City Council, on the fact that the election for mayor was completed with great expediency. The High Representative also congratulated all citizens of Mostar who participated in the electoral process after 12 long years.

„The citizens of Mostar have finally, after 12 years, regained their voice, with today's election of the new Mayor of Mostar carried out in accordance with the Statute of Mostar, as the final step in this electoral cycle. I ask the new mayor and the new City Council not to waste a single day and to start working on solving the numerous problems that burden every citizen of Mostar. Therefore, all parties in the City Council should cooperate as much as possible. A huge responsibility and a long list of priorities lie ahead of you to build a prosperous future for Mostar and use all its potential to make it an economically dynamic city,“ said High Representative Inzko. 

High Representative Inzko also thanked Dr. Zlatko Guzin for his fair-play approach, integrity, and for his contribution to building a new atmosphere of cooperation and reconciliation in Mostar in the true sense of his medical oath, according to which all people are brothers and sisters.
