Immunologist Karamehić: BiH reacted much better than in other matters

(Patria) - "BiH is structured in such a way that unfortunately it doesn't function properly in many matters, but in my opinion, the authorities did as much as they could. Whether they could have done more or less, I can't say, but I see that certain activities are being undertaken, the population is being educated, equipment is being procured. BiH reacted much better than in other matters," said Jasenko Karamehić, an immunologist, on N1's Crvena linija regarding the problem of the spread of the coronavirus.

"China initially had a certain lag because it was new, which is normal, but it must be admitted that China handled it fantastically. They isolated a city of 11 million inhabitants, they didn't allow contact. That is a huge population. Now the results of that work are visible," Karamehić emphasized at the beginning.

He adds that he is surprised by Italy's reaction in the new situation.

"I am not a representative of the expert Staff in BiH and I cannot speak on their behalf. Italy surprised me, the fifth economy by GDP, excellent healthcare, and honestly, I did not expect this. A large number of cases and a large number of deaths."
