Appointment of Sebija Izetbegović is the beginning of a Middle Eastern model of governance by a dozen SDA families

Appointment of Sebija Izetbegović to the position of director of the University Clinical Center in Sarajevo (UKCS) is a definitive confirmation of the policy of the SDA and the current authorities, aiming to establish in BiH a Middle Eastern model of governance by a dozen families over everything and everyone. That was and remains the sole goal of the SDA, and all the talk about reforms and the fight for citizens has been buried forever by this move, announced by the SDP, as reported by the Patria news agency.

The appointment of the wife of Bakir Izetbegović, president of the SDA and member of the BiH Presidency, is a slap in the face of all BiH citizens and violence against all procedures and laws which, according to the SDA, apply to everyone except the Izetbegovićs and the caste gathered around the top of this party.

We remind the public that the FBiH Government illegally appointed the Management Board of UKCS, whose members were appointed with the sole task of appointing Sebija Izetbegović as director as soon as possible. The public tender for the position of director, published by the illegal Management Board, was also contrary to the law and written exclusively so that Sebija Izetbegović could apply, who was, in fact, the only candidate.

With this move, the government led by the SDA has placed BiH at the global bottom of so-called captured states, where the ruling elite does whatever it wants, while everyone else has only the right to what that elite allows them.

This appointment will only encourage the departure of young people from BiH, because such a society, characteristic of third-world dictatorships, is being imposed on BiH.

We warn the public that the next move planned by the government of ten families is the destruction of the Sarajevo General Hospital "Dr. Abdulah Nakaš", in order to place the FBiH Government in one part of it, and build a super luxury hotel in the other, with money from their strategic partners, whose origin has never been determined. Therefore, the defense of the General Hospital from the tentacles of the SDA octopus and destruction due to the whims of megagreedy families is a matter of defending the values of BiH society and the right of citizens to live in a society governed by law, not by the law of ten families gathered around the Izetbegović dynasty.

The SDP will continue the political struggle against such a government and such a policy, and we call on all progressive political forces, non-governmental and other organizations, as well as all citizens, to persevere together in the fight against the creation of an SDA caliphate in BiH, whose citizens deserve and want a society of equal opportunity, the SDP statement concludes.
