Imamović and Tuzla stand with Petrinja after earthquake: 50,000 KM in aid allocated

TUZLA, (Patria) - Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamović sent a letter of support and sympathy to the Mayor of Petrinja, Darinko Dumbović, and made a decision to allocate funds from the Current Reserve as financial aid to the City of Petrinja.

In a message to the citizens of Petrinja, Mayor Imamović expressed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the devastating earthquake. He stated that many cities from Croatia had helped Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this is one way to repay them.

“The citizens of Tuzla, my associates, and I deeply sympathize with the citizens of Petrinja. We want to show solidarity and help alleviate and repair the consequences of this terrible disaster that has befallen Petrinja as soon as possible. To begin with, we have allocated funds in the amount of 50,000 KM (approximately 200,000 HRK) to help Petrinja and its citizens. We are with you, dear citizens of Petrinja,” said Imamović.

We remind you that Petrinja, Sisak, Glina, and other surrounding towns were hit by an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, and then by several subsequent earthquakes that have been ongoing for days. Many residents have lost their homes, and a large number are not even allowed to return to their homes. Any aid, especially financial aid for reconstruction, as well as food and other necessities, is welcome now.
