Ilidža: Reception for first-graders, a day they, their parents, and teachers will remember!

(Patria) - The flag of BiH was flying today in the largest city square in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it was created by them, our first-graders. And this was, symbolically, their first school assignment. They succeeded in its execution, and we in our intention to foster love for that which we cannot choose, and that is love for the homeland.

The Municipality of Ilidža decided to make the first day of school especially interesting and engaging for all first-graders in Ilidža, all so that they would take away beautiful memories of a new life experience filled with love for the homeland from the Central Square.

The first day of school brings great excitement for both first-graders and their parents, and today's entertainment program, imbued with and inspired by patriotic notes, had the task of making the new first-graders understand the beginning of a new epoch in their lives as a step in their development, growth, and education.

The opening notes of the anthem of Bosnia and Herzegovina were the signal for all 750 first-graders to raise their cardboard squares high towards the sky, in order to pay tribute to the anthem of our homeland and in that way "draw" the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Love and emotion for the homeland are special feelings that are often difficult, sometimes impossible, to describe. Precisely because of this, the Municipality of Ilidža, through today's program, tried to show and present to the new first-graders, in a completely unusual way, the importance of this kind of love that will accompany them through their education and throughout their lives.
- This is not a day for long speeches, today I want all our children to take the most beautiful memories from this square, to feel and create a sense of what the homeland is, to experience the raising of the flag of our only homeland on their first day of school. I am sure that we have succeeded in that regard. I believe that this is one of the happiest and most beautiful days in the lives of our students - said the Mayor of the Municipality of Ilidža, Nermin Muzur.

The Municipality of Ilidža tried to make the first day of school special and different. It is clear that teachers will, together with their students, become one and create a new world in which they will selflessly offer knowledge to the new first-graders and develop in them a love for school and a love for acquiring knowledge.

- I hope that among these children of ours there will be successful doctors, professors, good craftsmen... Thank you for making me the happiest person in the world today - added Mayor Muzur.

The reception was attended by elementary school principals and the Minister of Education, Naida Hota-Muminović, who emphasized that they strive year after year, together with the elementary school principals, to welcome students in the most beautiful environment possible.

- I can say that we are in the most beautiful square and in the most beautiful place, between two schools. Let's make sure that this school year also passes in mutual understanding and good behavior. We will continue to do what we have been doing, we will buy new computers, new school furniture, but more importantly, we will continue to support those who are most important. These are your teachers. Thank you for this wonderful emotion with which you have honored us. May the new school year be happy and successful for all of us - said Minister Hota-Muminović.

The ceremonial ceremony, where children were entertained by Elvir Hadžijamaković - Lilo and numerous mascots, concluded with the song "Ostajte ovdje" by Aleksa Šantić, performed by the choir of the First Elementary School.

The Municipality of Ilidža also provided symbolic gift packages for the new schoolchildren, which were distributed to them in their schools.
