Ilidža Open 2016: Over 1,000 Karatekas from Nine Countries

The 11th Open Karate Championship "Ilidža Open 2016", to be held on 5 March, is expected to gather more than 1,000 participants from nine countries, organised by KK Champion, writes BH news agency Patria.

The tournament is held on the occasion of the Day of Reintegration of the Ilidža Municipality, and the general sponsor of the tournament is the Ilidža Municipality. In the 11 years since the tournament has been organised, it has earned the epithet of one of the highest-quality karate tournaments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

- We have managed to form an organising committee that will work and do its best to make Ilidža Open known worldwide. We want to create a tournament that will be a "must do" activity that no one wants to miss. Over 1,000 participants from 9 countries are expected this year, and our task is to welcome and see them off in a friendly manner, and invite them to be our guests. The number of guests exceeds 3,000 if we take into account that along with the participants come coaches, drivers, doctors, physiotherapists and other staff and companions - said the President of the Organising Committee Denis Muhović.
