Ikanović: We must raise our voice against limiting the work of civil society

The Law on Public Order and Peace, adopted at yesterday's session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, has caused reactions from the non-governmental sector, which strongly opposes the limitation of citizens' freedoms, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Although some amendments proposed by the Domovina coalition were adopted, the First March coalition from Bratunac reacted and believes that some amendments are beneficial for the Bosniak returnee community, related to the issue of freedom of assembly.

As the coordinator of First March activities for Bratunac, Edin Ikanović, told Patria, the entire legal solution has been condemned by all experts in this field, and it is clear that the general good must be taken into account.

- We must raise our voice against laws that limit the work of civil society. After all, we were also victims of similar attacks, such as the call to ban the work of "First March" last year. We must not forget this when dealing with this issue - said Ikanović.
