Ikanović: Bosniaks in RS should vote according to their conscience for the BiH Presidency member

Considering that Bosniaks do not have sufficient voting capacity, nor constitutional capacity, to elect a member of the BiH Presidency from the territory of Republika Srpska, I believe that our choice is a choice between two evils, said Edin Ikanović, candidate of the Coalition "Domovina" for the National Assembly of RS, reports the BiH news agency Patria. 

-I believe that our voters should vote according to their conscience for the member of the BiH Presidency from the smaller BiH entity, but that they must keep in mind which party is the bearer of all activities that violated the human rights of the Bosniak and Croat returnee communities.

The SNSD minister, on Milorad Dodik's orders, blocked the resolution of problems in Konjević-Polje and Vrbanjci. The DNS mayor is harassing prisoner of war associations in Prijedor. We must keep that in mind, Ikanović emphasizes and adds: 

- Unfortunately, we are condemned to accept discrimination, and the ultimate question is whether Bosniaks should participate in voting for the Serb member of the Presidency, because by doing so they accept a system of discrimination - they have active voting rights, i.e. they can vote, but they do not have passive rights - they cannot run for office. We hope that the verdict in the "Pilav v. Bosnia and Herzegovina" case will fill the gaps from the "Sejdić-Finci" verdict, and that the constituent peoples will have a basis for fighting for equality in places where they do not form the majority ethnic community.
