Čelik players traveled to preparations in Međugorje: To secure survival in the elite competition

NK Čelik Zenica players left today at 12 PM, and will stay in Međugorje for 10 days where they will play 3 friendly matches and train under a special regime to be as prepared as possible for the continuation of the season and to secure survival in the
BH Telecom Premier League of BiH.

The head of the professional staff of our first team, Nedim Jusufbegović, has also selected 25 players from whom he expects to carry the biggest burden of the fight in the spring half-season.

The players going to preparations are: Branislav Ružić (goalkeeper), Ratko Dujković (goalkeeper), Semir Bukvić (goalkeeper), Emir Jusić, Vernes Islamagić, Anes Duraković, Bojan Regoje, Dino Jurković, Safet Šivšić, Senad Husić, Eldin Mašić, Enis Sadiković, Duško Sakan, Semir Pezer, Aldin Šišić, Haris Hećo, Fenan Salčinović, Armin Duvnjak, Anes Haurdić, Danijal Brković, Tarik Adilović, Joco Stokić and Hanan Adilović.

Ante Hrkać and Jasmin Smriko will not go to preparations immediately, they will train in Zenica and will join the team in Međugorje when they are sufficiently prepared. 

As part of the player selection, Aid Vehabović (goalkeeper), Goran Popović, Dženis Huseinspahić and Almir Pliska have been declared surplus to requirements, and the head of the professional staff no longer counts on their services. Goalkeeper Vehabović will be sent on loan to FK Rudar Zenica in the Second League of FBiH – Center, while the remaining three players will be free to transfer to a new club without compensation or terminate their contracts by mutual agreement.

The status of four significant reinforcements who came up through our club is still uncertain, given that Aldin Đidić and Mahir Karić have not yet resolved their status at FK Sloboda Tuzla, and Adnan Zahirović and Haris Dilaver have not made a final decision on whether to join the football club Čelik.
