Igor Radojičić announced lawsuits against the "Justice for David" group

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - The Mayor of Banja Luka, Igor Radojičić, stated today that the City will likely enter into legal disputes against the organizers of the "Justice for David" rally, who on December 30th prevented New Year's concerts from being held in Banja Luka.

What happened on December 30th, he said, prevented the holding of New Year's concerts in the city and all other outdoor festivities.

The "Justice for David" group, which brings together thousands of citizens from Banja Luka and the region, has been demanding for almost a year that the authorities reveal who killed the 21-year-old young man David Dragičević, whose body was found in the Crkvina river. Instead of an investigation, the authorities in Republika Srpska responded brutally when the police tried to break up the protests a few days ago, while the parents of David Dragičević, as well as opposition members, were arrested.

World media are also reporting on the protests in Banja Luka. The reputable London newspaper The Guardian recalled the protests in Banja Luka where citizens are seeking truth and justice for the murdered young man David. The Guardian wrote in its Monday edition that citizens at the protests, in addition to the truth about the young man's murder, are also demanding the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RS entity, Dragan Lukač.

PDP leader Branislav Borenović warns that any force against peacefully protesting citizens is unacceptable, and that "this government has led to the worst division among the people."
