Igor Kamočaji and two others charged with abuse of position at the Employment Service of KS

(Patria) - The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Igor Kamočaji, Indira Habul, and Almina Mašin-Suljagić for abuse of position at the Employment Service of KS, the spokesperson for the KS Prosecutor's Office Azra Bavčić confirmed to Faktor.

The indictment has been forwarded to the competent court for confirmation.

Kamočaji, Habul, and Mašin-Suljagić are accused of committing abuses during the implementation of the "Job for All" program in 2019 and 2020. This program involved financial support for entrepreneurs to employ citizens of KS.

During the period in question, Kamočaji was the Human Resources Manager and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton.

Habul held the position of Head of the Department for Employment Incentive Measures, a position she currently holds. At that time, she was also a member of the Service's Supervisory Board.

Mašin-Suljagić was the coordinator of the Service then, as she is now.

Kamočaji and Mašin-Suljagić are accused of requesting the head of the Registry Office of the Employment Service in 2019, shortly after the public call for the "Job for All" program was announced, to leave the first 10 places in the protocol book for that public call empty.

Allegedly, two companies connected to Kamočaji were entered among those 10 places and received financial resources from the program. One of these companies, it is suspected, received between 400 and 500 KM per month for work contracts.

In order to be beneficiaries of the program at all, according to the report, the companies laid off some of their workers and registered them with the employment bureau. Then, the workers from one company were registered with another affiliated company.

As such, according to the report, they were registered through the public call and obtained benefits through the "reservation of places" in the protocol. After the public call was completed, Igor Kamočaji, it is stated, soon became the director of one of these companies.

Furthermore, there are suspicions that the accused favored the remaining eight companies to be among the first 10 in the "Job for All" program.

Habul is accused of carrying out what Kamočaji and Mašin-Suljagić requested to be done for the benefit of the companies.
