Igman: 20 years since the death of American diplomats and a French soldier

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the death of American diplomats Joseph Kruzel, Robert Freiser, Samuel Nelson Drew and French soldier Stephan Reault, who tragically died on Igman on August 19, 1995, the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina will organize a commemorative ceremony this year as well, reports the Patria news agency.  

The ceremony of paying respects and laying wreaths will take place at the Memorial Site on Igman on Wednesday, August 19, starting at 10:30 AM.

Invited to the ceremony are members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the NATO Headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUFOR, representatives of international institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the military-diplomatic corps in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the highest representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the general corps of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We recall that on August 19, 1995, Mr. Joseph Kruzel, Robert Freiser, and Nelson Drew, American diplomats from the office of Richard Holbrooke, the special envoy of then-US President Bill Clinton, and French soldier Stephan Reault tragically lost their lives on the Igman road, returning to Sarajevo after completing a peace mission, the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
