IGK calls for ban and supervision of Dodik's book promotion in Vienna

(Patria) - The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGK) has sent an urgent request to Austrian and international institutions to ban and monitor the promotion of the book "State of Republika Srpska", scheduled for October 22, 2025, in Vienna.

The event is being organized by the Representative Office of the RS entity in Austria, with the participation of judicially convicted Milorad Dodik, former president of the RS entity. IGK warns that this is not a cultural, but a political event aimed at promoting and legitimizing the RS entity as a "state", which is in direct contradiction with the Constitution of BiH, the Dayton Peace Agreement, and international law.

"The organization of such an event in the heart of Europe represents a shameful attempt to promote secessionism and genocide denial, and an insult to the victims of aggression in BiH," states IGK.

The Institute calls on the Austrian authorities, the EU Delegation, and the OSCE Mission to prevent the abuse of Austrian territory for activities that undermine peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
