IGK welcomes Komsic and Becirovic's decision to summon Vranjes for urgent consultations

(Patria) - The Institute for Genocide Research Canada welcomes the timely, statesmanlike decision of members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, who requested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina to urgently summon the BiH ambassador to Serbia, Aleksandar Vranješ, for consultations in Sarajevo.

Yesterday, the Institute for Genocide Research Canada addressed a public letter to the aforementioned members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the disgraceful conduct of the BiH ambassador to Serbia. This concerns Aleksandar Vranješ, who publicly thanked the director of the Serbian BIA, Aleksandar Vulin, for his support to the Sarajevo female students who glorified war criminal Ratko Mladić.

The timely reaction of the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina inspires hope that in the future, ambassadors who work against their own state, which pays them well, will not be tolerated.

We need diplomats who will genuinely defend and strengthen state interests. Ambassadors must not favor any political ideology or option; they should defend and strengthen the state of BiH, the statement said.
