IGK launches petition to ban January 9th celebration: That day marks the attack on BiH and genocide against Bosniaks

(Patria) - The International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada, respecting the opinion of a large number of individuals, organizations, and communities, friends of truth and justice in the world, has launched a petition to ban the celebration of January 9th.

The goal of the petition is to alert world public opinion, to spur the inert international community, and especially to activate citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both within and outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, to take action.

- January 9th is the day when the rebel group gathered around war criminal Radovan Karadžić signaled the open destruction of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and began the genocide against the Bosniak population. On that day, under the command of Milošević's regime and the JNA, preparations for a war catastrophe began on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The rebel group led by the SDS knew that this undertaking could not be carried out without genocide against Bosniaks. That is the full monstrosity of Greater Serbian politics. They therefore knew in advance what they would do and where the path of denying Bosnian nationality in the international order would lead.

This anti-Bosnian celebration demonstrates the non-recognition of the Dayton Agreement and attempts to turn an entity into a republic or state. This means that the January 9th project represents abandoning the agreement and deception, that is, openly circumventing the agreement on peace and the preservation of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a public conspiracy to deny Bosnia and Herzegovina. That date celebrates an open attack on the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, it is clear that January 9th is an expression of hegemony and militarism that opens a new catastrophe in these regions.

The petition calls on the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the guardian of Bosnia and Herzegovina and against anti-Dayton attacks, to ban the unconstitutional, anti-state, and anti-civilization celebration of January 9th. Because it is evident that the "frozen" state institutions of police and judiciary are unable to react to protect the state, as they are in the hands of suspect political oligarchies that serve the interests of Belgrade and Zagreb hegemonic policies.

When truth and justice are threatened, we are all threatened. When world state voices fall silent towards the denial of genocide, there is no justice, guilt prevails.

In the name of the honor of all those who gave their lives for the freedom of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the name of protecting the dignity of their families, and in the name of a safer future for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have no right to remain silent! We must use all available legal and other means and available state judicial institutions to recognize, report, and punish anti-Bosnian and anti-state behaviors.

The International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada will send the petition with signatories to relevant political, academic, and cultural entities in the world.
