IGK supports protest rally in front of BiH Prosecutor's Office and Court, Canadian officials informed about new persecution

(Patria) - The International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGK), comprising over 300 eminent researchers, human rights and freedoms activists, and fighters for truth and justice from around the world, supports the protest rally to be held today from 12 PM to 1 PM in front of the Prosecutor's Office and Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, organized by the Foundation Truth for Goražde.

The International Expert Team of IGK has already informed the Prime Minister of Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, the Speaker of the Parliament of Canada, Members of the Parliament of Canada, and friends of BiH about the unjust persecution of BiH defenders, members of the Army of RBiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RBiH, which aims to relativize the past and implement historical revisionism, i.e., deny the past and facts established and ruled upon by two UN courts in The Hague.

In discussions held over the past few days with prominent members of the Canadian Parliament, we have requested Canada to raise its voice against the persecution of RBiH defenders, who are being falsely accused in an attempt to protect the aggressor and perpetrators of war crimes, crimes against humanity, including genocide. The latest case, the indictment against 13 members of the Army of RBiH who defended Podrinje and Goražde, accused of the gravest crimes, even genocide against Serbs, is a continuation of the systematic persecution of BiH defenders, who have been indicted for war crimes in their defense, according to sources from Goražde.

At the same time, we have informed key Canadian political entities that criminals who besieged Sarajevo, Goražde, Žepa, Tuzla, and Bihać and killed civilians, despite them being UN protected zones, are not being prosecuted.

IGK concludes that Serbia's political agenda is being realized through the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, with the aim of presenting Serbs as the sole victims in BiH. Serbia's counter-claim for genocide failed before the International Court of Justice, but it has not failed in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. This indictment, if confirmed, will represent a civilizational collapse of imagined international justice and the annulment of the legacy of two UN courts that ruled on the genocide committed by Serbs.

IGK reiterates that the Hague Tribunal ruled on the aggression of Serbia and Croatia against RBiH, ruled on the joint criminal enterprises of Serbia and Croatia against RBiH, and ruled on the criminal role of the Army of Republika Srpska and the Croatian Defence Council in realizing the projects of Greater Serbia and Greater Croatia.

At the same time, the Hague Tribunal, despite being under pressure, did not have the arguments to bring charges against the Army of RBiH for aggression and genocide. What the Hague Tribunal could not prove is now being systematically and deliberately attempted through the Prosecutor's Office and Court of BiH.

IGK calls for the consistent implementation of the Strategy for Prosecution of War Crimes (especially Annex B) to stop the deliberate undertaking of altering the character of the war, equating victims and aggressors, and humiliating BiH defenders who defended their country, their people, and their homes.

IGK supports the formation of an international commission to investigate the events in Podrinje, as well as in other parts of BiH, i.e., to continue the work of the Hague Tribunal, which the Prosecutor's Office of BiH seeks to erase.

IGK also supports the letter to the UN Secretary-General informing him about the non-compliance with the UN resolution that initiated the establishment of the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office, non-compliance with the Hague legacy, as well as the fact that the BiH Prosecutor's Office prosecutes defenders from protected zones while failing to prosecute those who besieged these zones and daily killed civilians and children.
