IGK: Dodik and Čović are genocide deniers, but truth is on the side of the victims

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The attempt by SNSD and HDZ in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to annul the Law on Prohibition of Genocide Denial is anti-civilizational, dehumanizing, inhumane, dangerous for peace and stability in the world, and disastrous for international justice and law. This move by anti-Bosnian entities degrades the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the victims of genocide, and the United Nations and international legal and judicial authorities and documents, it was stated in the reaction of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada.

"With this move, SNSD and HDZ once again clearly show that they are on the side of the separatist, anti-Bosnian coalition, which is increasingly and more seriously attacking the European Bosnian-Herzegovinian state, calling for its ethnic division. At the same time, we have the silence of the international community, which is negotiating with state deniers and genocide deniers about the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The mentioned anti-Bosnian and anti-European moves in the House of Peoples are in line with the activities of anti-Bosnian diplomacy, in which Dodik's and Čović's ambassadors in important centers of international politics directly work against their own country.

Dodik and Čović have once again sent a message of support to criminals, genocide deniers, revisionists of historical, scientific, and judicial facts about the only legally proven genocide in Europe after the Holocaust, and a message to glorifiers of convicted war criminals, as well as to those who want to destroy the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada calls on all friends of truth and justice to become aware of the position we are in, to seek ways out, to be brave, united, educated, and professional in the pursuit of truth and justice, but also in the fight for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The victims will never be defeated because the truth and justice are on their side. Those who deny the decisions of international courts, who violate international law, justice, and truth, who try to revise history, judicial and scientific arguments, and those who recently dangerously threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, and political subjectivity of the European state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the name of extremism belong to the historical inhumane waste against whom, unfortunately, we must fight even more today.

We continue the fight for a better future for our civilization, for a world without war and genocide in which peace and respect for the other and different will prevail, in which truth will overcome falsehood, justice will overcome injustice, and the culture of remembrance will overcome the culture of forgetting. Join this great human mission with an argument-based fight against genocide deniers, deniers whose embodiments are Milorad Dodik, Dragan Čović, and their followers," stated the IGK.
