IDDEEA BiH: Activities on introducing qualified electronic signature in BiH judiciary continued

(Patria) - The Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) BiH announced today that it has continued activities on introducing a qualified electronic signature in BiH judicial institutions, in accordance with the conclusions adopted at the session of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH held on November 5, 2025.

The aforementioned conclusions provided guidelines for all judges, prosecutors, and members of the HJPC of BiH to ensure they possess a personal qualified electronic signature, with the aim of facilitating and accelerating the process of verifying the assets and interests of judicial office holders.

During January, IDDEEA mobile teams visited seventy judicial institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely cantonal and municipal courts, as well as cantonal prosecutor's offices, so that officials, judges, and prosecutors could activate their qualified electronic signatures.

IDDEEA teams provided technical and expert support on a daily basis, enabling the efficient, secure, and reliable implementation of this important digital tool.

In addition to the aforementioned institutions, IDDEEA mobile teams enabled the activation of qualified electronic signatures for members of the HJPC of BiH as well.

IDDEEA BiH states in its announcement that it will continue with planned field activities during February as well, with the aim of fully realizing the process of issuing and activating qualified electronic signatures in the shortest possible time.

They thanked all judicial institutions for their trust, professional cooperation, and commitment to improving digital processes in the judiciary.
