Ibrahimović: Brčko Government banned access to InfoBrčko portal

The editorial office of the InfoBrčko portal claims that the authorities in the Brčko District have banned access to their portal from the District institutions. Readers have been experiencing problems accessing this portal since last week.

The director of the local portal InfoBrčko from Brčko, Semir Ibrahimović, told the BiH news agency Patria that his colleagues often point out poor performance in the institutions of the Brčko District, primarily the Government and the Assembly, and that this is most likely the reason why access to their portal from the Brčko District Government building has been blocked since last Friday.

Journalists from the InfoBrčko portal have written about the non-transparent spending of budget funds in Brčko, trading with parliamentary votes in the Brčko District Assembly, as well as other irregularities in the District institutions.

- Our readers are contacting us and warning that access to the portal from the Government building is blocked for them, while they can visit other portals without interruption. The browser simply shows them that the InfoBrčko portal is unavailable. Also, readers from all other parts of the city have uninterrupted access to the portal - said Ibrahimović.

- The service that maintains the computer network in the District institutions claims that they have not blocked access to their portal. However, our sources from the Government claim that there is a so-called blacklist of media that are forbidden to visit from the Government, and our portal is on that list - he added.

Ibrahimović said that they have requested an official explanation from the Government regarding their case, but have not yet received a response, writes NAP.
