Ibrahim Hadžibajrić named Mayor of the Decade in BiH

The Independent Agency for the Selection of Top Managers of BiH, Southeast and Central Europe has chosen Ibrahim Hadžibajrić as the Mayor of the Decade in BiH. This prestigious award, decided by an international jury composed of the most respected managers and scientists, was presented to Hadžibajrić last night at a ceremony held in Banski dvor, in Banja Luka. Ibrahim Hadžibajrić is the Mayor of the Decade in Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the exceptional results achieved in the previous period and the successful management of the municipal administration, reports the Patria agency.

Hadžibajrić thanked for the trust shown and the recognized work results, stating that every recognition is also an obligation.

- This recognition was preceded by the one for Best Mayor of the Municipality in 2010, so this is the second time you have recognized the results of my work and awarded me an accolade, and I truly thank you for that. Given that I am at the beginning of my third term, this recognition is a great obligation to continue working just as successfully as in the previous eight years, in order to justify the trust. I believe that success can only be achieved through dedicated work and a professional approach to the job, so this award is also a motivation for me to continue on that path - said Hadžibajrić.

Six years ago, the international jury for awarding accolades to the best managers in BiH recognized Ibrahim Hadžibajrić as the Best Mayor in BiH, while today, on the eve of his third term in this responsible position, the international jury decided to present him with an award for his overall work. In the category of best mayors, Milorad Simić, Mayor of Derventa, was also awarded as the best manager among mayors, and Muhamed Ramović, Mayor of Goražde Municipality, was named the best mayor.

The Independent Agency for the Selection of Top Managers of BiH, Southeast and Central Europe is the only global and independent authority in BiH and the region that has awarded this prize for the 35th time, and according to general assessments, it is among the top five most respectable awards in the world, alongside awards from New York, Prizren, London, and Madrid.

Let us also recall that Hadžibajrić was awarded other accolades for his work in the previous period: European Mayor of FBiH, Golden Plaque and Badge of the International League of Humanists, F.E.S.T. Charter, Golden Tourist Rose, and Stari Grad Municipality received the European Open City award during his first term.
