Ibrahim Hadžibajrić to head NBL list for the Sarajevo Canton Assembly

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – President of the Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List (NBL) Ibrahim Hadžibajrić will be the list holder for the Sarajevo Canton Assembly in the upcoming General Elections on 7 October.

Hadžibajrić is the current mayor of the Stari Grad municipality, who as an independent candidate in the Local Elections in October 2016 won more than 10,000 votes.

At the end of September 2017, together with independent mayors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he founded the Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List, which aims to offer citizens of BiH a political alternative. The NBL will also have lists for the Federation of BiH level, as well as a candidate for president, i.e., vice president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, businessman Jusuf Arifagić.

- The Independent Bosnian-Herzegovinian List will offer lists with quality people in the upcoming elections. People are looking for change, and we represent that change. The lists will include names of people who have already built careers in various fields and want to contribute to changes in BiH in this way. I believe these elections are crucial for the future of our country - Hadžibajrić told NAP.

As Hadžibajrić stated, the NBL is running independently in these elections, and after the elections, it will consider the possibility of forming a coalition with any political party.

Hadžibajrić left the Party of Democratic Action in 2012 and joined the ranks of the Alliance for a Better Future, which he left in April 2016. Since then, he has been acting as an independent mayor and in the October 2016 elections won his third term as mayor of the Stari Grad municipality.
