Even though parish priest Đelmo and the MUP say it was a storage room: Dačić demands investigation into church fire in Sarajevo

-Today, a church, that is, the Temple of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Sarajevo, was set on fire. We demand an urgent investigation. We hope that the investigation will not be repeated like the one regarding Srebrenica, that is, the attack and attempted murder of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, at a press conference, as reported by the Patria news agency.

He assessed that "these are things that our state must react to."

Just as he immediately reacted without any verification when a video of the burning of Serbian flags was released, sending a protest note to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and even worse was the reaction of his Bosnian colleague Igor Crnadak (as if he were a minister of Serbia), almost apologizing, while neither of them knows what the real truth is, so today Dačić demonstrated that the only goal is to stoke nationalist rhetoric and raise tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the time the fire broke out, the parish priest of Dolac, Čedomir Đelmo, his wife, and a worker were in the premises, preparing them for the liturgy.

"We noticed smoke coming from the church storage room. We called the firefighters and the police, and the fire was quickly extinguished. They told us the investigation would take time. They have police cameras, so it will be determined what happened; we don't want to point fingers at anyone. We hope it will be thoroughly investigated this time; the truth is important to us," parish priest Đelmo told Klix.ba.

From the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, it was confirmed that the fire broke out at 8:10 AM in a storage space for garden tools, and that firefighters extinguished it within 15 minutes.

Dačić claims the church burned, while the parish priest of Dolac, Đelmo, who was at the scene, says it was a storage space. Is Dačić telling us all that we should believe him instead of the parish priest of Dolac? Perhaps he, sitting in Belgrade, knows better what happened this morning in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Pofalići, where on Friday, August 19, a large number of believers celebrated the Orthodox holiday of the Transfiguration in the courtyard of this church, and everything passed without a single incident.

And perhaps he also knows who set the fire in the storage room where garden tools are kept? Just as Vučić, upon returning from Potočari last year, immediately knew that "some Sandžak fans tried to kill him."
