"Alagić case" also in a state of dormancy due to annual leave

Vahid Alagić, suspended head of the Witness Protection Department of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) is still on "cooling off", and the entire process has been suspended due to annual leave, confirmed Alagić for the Patria News Agency, stating he could not give further statements as the investigation is ongoing.

- Everyone is on leave: the Prosecutor's Office, the Court, and that is all I can say at this moment – said Alagić.

Otherwise, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted an order to SIPA to conduct an investigation against police officer Alagić, due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority, in the case of the Internal Advertisement for Promotion in the State Investigation and Protection Agency from October 7, 2011, after which Alagić was promptly suspended.

Goran Zubac, the director of SIPA, thus used this report to remove another Bosniak from this institution. However, his report for dereliction of duty and confirmed indictment is not disputed by anyone, not even the Council of Ministers of BiH, which will await the Independent Board, which is skillfully delaying Zubac's suspension.
