Lavić also warns of the harmfulness of Election Law negotiations while the state is collapsing

The announced continuation of negotiations on the Election Law is causing more and more reactions. Currently, apart from people in the narrow leadership of the SDA, no one thinks that negotiations should take place at all until the problem of unconstitutional activities from the RS is resolved.

„No one should participate in talks about the Election Law anymore until the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is unblocked from the coordinated anti-Bosnian pact ‘Dodik-Čović’. State institutions must work and function, and we must definitively end the so-called ‘agreement of the peoples’ and ‘national leaders’,” said on social networks Professor Senadin Lavić from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo.

Let us recall, in the middle of next week, representatives of the American and European administrations, Matthew Palmer and Angelina Eichhorst, are arriving in Sarajevo again. This means that our politicians are facing a new round of negotiations on amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The leaders of the SDA and HDZ are partly optimistic about possible agreements. However, the optimism is not shared by analysts or the opposition.

"On January 23, 24 and 25, the talks with representatives of the European and American administrations on the topic of amendments to the Election Law in accordance with the implementation of the agreement from Mostar concerning the Election Law and the legitimate representation of constituent peoples will be, or should be, concluded," said Dragan Čović, president of the HDZ BiH.

From the SDA, after they sought and received support from other parties in the F BiH that there should be no negotiations while the state is collapsing, they seem to be preparing the ground to continue their long-started game with the HDZ.

"At first, the responses are tough because everyone finds it hard to give up what they hold in their hands. It is difficult for them to face their membership and voters with having given something, but in order to get something, something will have to be given, both from our side and from the HDZ side," said Bakir Izetbegović, president of the SDA.

Doubts about the SDA's readiness to once again reduce everything to an agreement of the peoples were reinforced by the party's vice president Safet Softić with a poor attempt to explain to citizens that a compromise with the HDZ is not a betrayal of the state, as it is presented in public.
