Air extremely dangerous again this morning, Otoka most polluted, Baščaršija least

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the capital of BiH, Sarajevo, the air quality index is extremely high this morning as well - 348.

Serious consequences are possible for the entire population! When outdoors, any exertion should be avoided. The most vulnerable categories of the population: pregnant women, the elderly, and children, people with respiratory and heart problems, should stay indoors!

This morning, the situation is worst in Otoka, and most acceptable in Baščaršija, where the air index is 156.

Meteorologists have predicted that residents of Sarajevo Canton will breathe much cleaner air starting today. For now, this is only the case in the old part of the city.

"Unstable weather, which will bring better air quality, will persist for the next few days. However, unfortunately, what we have now will not be the last picture this winter in Sarajevo, because as we approach next weekend, stable weather and higher temperatures are expected, meaning a new temperature inversion, which will again bring more polluted air," says Nedim Sladić, an amateur meteorologist.
