Hurtić: Inzko has become an observer, and he is paid to protect Dayton!

Whether we will have sanctions for not adopting laws is not that important or known, I am more concerned about the motive why it was not adopted, which is much deeper and more indicative. In a way, a standard is being set in Republika Srpska that the more you destroy BiH, the more popular you are, said Zlatko Hurtić, economic analyst for the BiH news agency Patria.

- The more you violate the Dayton Peace Agreement, the greater your chances of winning the elections. The international community should resolve that problem. Because Dayton is being violated by this, and High Representative Valentin Inzko has become an observer, and he is paid to protect Dayton – said Hurtić.

He said that if sanctions are to be introduced, then they should be introduced for those who block laws.

- That is Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska. Because if they are against solutions that should enable the country to fight terrorism and have a more efficient anti-money laundering system, then it is about some criminal structures that should be sanctioned anyway. And who will sanction, if not the High Representative who has all the powers to act here – emphasized Hurtić and added that the law is no longer the problem, but the standard being set in order to achieve an election victory.

- That is something for which the OHR and the EU are to blame. Because they bear full responsibility for this situation, and such a situation cannot last and it leads to the disintegration of this country and political crises, not to mention war – Hurtić is categorical.

Hurtić states that these are small changes in the laws, or rather clarifications that do not require much effort. It is interesting, he says, that the parties from Republika Srpska in the House of Representatives supported the laws, and now they do not.

- They are playing games, and that is part of some election story. To make it seem like Milorad Dodik is fighting for Republika Srpska, while exposing someone else to fire – Hurtić believes.
