HS asks Schmidt to punish those calling for secession as well as those seeking a third entity

(Patria) - The Presidency of HS BiH at its last session considered the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and adopted a series of conclusions.

"Given that words such as secession, third entity, war, etc., are increasingly heard in the media, which have a significantly unfavorable and disturbing effect on citizens, we ask the High Representative in BiH, Mr. Christian Schmidt, to take steps within his powers to stop such inflammatory rhetoric. We note that due to such inflammatory rhetoric and due to inaction and lack of response, individuals or groups may respond in an inappropriate manner, where the possibility of terrorist acts is not excluded.

For some, such rhetoric is a means to produce insecurity and instability in order to protect their positions and homogenize their corrupt electorate, because if they fall, the corrupt system they have built falls, and therefore they are willing to do anything to survive," stated HS.

They call on Schmidt to take steps and stop hate speech and calls for division, and to treat and adequately punish those who call for secession, as well as those who seek a third entity or a third republic, and those who too often invoke a new war in BiH.

"They are all equally responsible for this bad and insecure situation in BiH, and the people have not given them legitimacy for it. We ask international representatives and negotiators in BiH to include opposition parties in the negotiations on amendments to the Election Law, Constitutional or other changes, in order to somewhat oversee the entire process. We know how important it is in BiH who counts the votes compared to those who vote, so no one elected possesses the true legitimacy of the citizens, nor do they have the right to adorn themselves with stolen votes. The people have the right to know what and how is being negotiated," HS specified.
