HS BiH: In the House of Peoples, there must be one representative of each constituent people from each canton

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Croatian Party of BiH opposes any political compromises that call into question constitutional provisions and, in the event that the Central Election Commission of BiH, or anyone else, adopts rules that would derogate this provision of the FBiH Constitution, it will initiate a review of their constitutionality and challenge the legality of elections based on unconstitutional rules.

- No regulation of any authority, no electoral rules adopted by the Central Election Commission of BiH, nor the Election Law of BiH can change the provision of paragraph 3 of the FBiH Constitution, which reads: "In the House of Peoples, there shall be at least one Bosniak, one Croat, and one Serb from each canton that has at least one such representative in its legislative body."

No one other than the Constitutional Court of BiH can provide interpretations of this, otherwise very clear, constitutional provision - the HS believes.
