Hrvić with Mahathir: Malaysian Prime Minister Congratulates BiH on Independence Day

MALAYSIA, (Patria) - Rusmir Hrvić, President of the Management Board of AS Holding, had the opportunity to meet and speak with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad today. Hrvić, along with several BiH businessmen, is on a multi-day visit where they held a series of meetings with Malaysian officials.

- Today, March 1st, on the Independence Day of my homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, I had the honor of meeting and speaking with Mr. Mahathir Mohamad, a great friend of our Bosnia, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and one of the greatest statesmen of our time. Prime Minister Mahathir, congratulating us on Independence Day, conveyed to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina that Malaysians stand with us and wish prosperity and success for Bosnia and Herzegovina - Hrvić told the Patria agency.

He emphasized that discussions were held on economic cooperation, as well as on the export of halal food to Malaysia.

Prime Minister Mahathir will be remembered for the fact that during his term from 1981 to 2003, Malaysia experienced unprecedented economic development, becoming one of the "Asian tigers," with poverty eradicated and a new multi-ethnic middle class. Mahathir was re-elected Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2018 at the age of 92.
