Croatian MEP undermines Dayton, the only solution is transition to a democratic state of equal civil rights

(Patria) - Destabilizing messages conveyed by Croatian MEP Tomislav Sokol about the alleged choice between a so-called "third entity" or a third entity realized through amendments to the Election Law, are not in line with European solutions, but with destabilization and the undermining of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

This was stated tonight by Slaven Kovačević, advisor to the BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić, reacting to the media appearance of Croatian MEP Tomislav Sokol, marked by open rhetoric of threats and clear incitement of political divisions, including the scandalous announcement of the possible establishment of a third entity in BiH.

"If they don't agree to the Election Law, Bosniaks will wake up with a third entity," Tomislav Sokol threatened, among other things, in his address.

Kovačević clearly tells Sokol - there will be no federalization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor can there be: just as no state formed from the breakup of former Yugoslavia is federal, neither will Bosnia and Herzegovina ever be.

According to him, the only adequate and rational solution for Bosnia and Herzegovina is its transition into a modern and democratic state, based on democracy, the rule of law, and the protection of individual civil rights, as this fulfills a number of European criteria for membership in the European Union.

- Shovinist vocabulary and disrespect for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens are clear evidence of a lack of quality arguments and proposals for implementing the necessary reforms that would meet European standards and democratic criteria.

What MEP Sokol is saying is far from the necessary European standards and criteria; instead, it more closely resembles the contours of the war aims of the convicted JCE (Joint Criminal Enterprise), from which he, like all other political actors, should desist.

How Bosnia and Herzegovina will be organized is our internal issue, and no one should be allowed to interfere. It is exclusively our business - Kovačević concluded.
