Croatia: Three people died after their car plunged into the Neretva River

(Patria) - Last night, a serious traffic accident occurred in the village of Podgradina, in the municipality of Slivno, in which three people died.

The police received a report at 10:03 PM that a vehicle had driven off the road and ended up in the riverbed of the Mala Neretva River, writes MetkovicNET.

Emergency services and divers arrived at the scene. Members of the diving club Delta found the vehicle overturned in the riverbed.

Upon inspecting the interior of the vehicle, bodies of individuals born in 1977, 1948, and 1964, all residing in Komin, city of Ploče, were found in the back seat.

On the order of the County State Attorney's Office in Dubrovnik, the bodies were transported to the pathology department of the General Hospital Dubrovnik for an autopsy to determine the exact causes of death.

The police are continuing their investigation to clarify all the circumstances of this tragic event.
