Croats in RS have not had the opportunity to invoke vital national interest due to Dodik's Croats

President of HDZ 1990 Ilija Cvitanović stated that amendments to the election law cannot apply only to the Federation, but that changes are also necessary in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska.

- We are absolutely of the view that every people in Bosnia and Herzegovina has the right to elect legitimate representatives at all levels of government in the state. We absolutely advocate for legitimate representation when it comes to the election of the Croatian member of the BiH Presidency, for the election to the House of Peoples of the FBiH, we seek a legitimate election of representatives that will respect the complexity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the fact that Annex 7 has not been implemented, the return of all displaced persons... But, we are also for changing the method of electing delegates to the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska. Croats in the Council of Peoples of the RS have never had the opportunity to invoke vital national interest, because there are some Dodik's Croats, Bosic's Croats... So, we do not want changes only in the Federation, but we seek the same model for Republika Srpska – said Cvitanović.

HDZ 1990 held a session of the Presidency of this party yesterday in the building of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With this, they said from HDZ 1990, they wanted to show that politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina must return to the official institutions of the state.  
- A very broad and heated discussion was held at the session of the party Presidency on the proposal for the model of amending the Election Law of BiH regarding the election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH. Because of this, we have not yet concluded the discussion on this topic. We have formed a party commission that will, in the next five days, come up with a proposal for a comprehensive amendment to the Dayton Constitution of BiH – said Cvitanović.
