Croats still the most loyal tourists in BiH, followed by Turks, Italians, and Slovenians

The total number of tourists who officially visited BiH in 2014 exceeded half a million. According to data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics, this is about 0.3% less than the previous year, but considering that the country was hit by devastating floods last year, a drop in tourists was expected, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The share of domestic tourists in BiH's tourist season last year was around 28.3%, while foreign tourists accounted for the remaining 71.7%.

Croats, it seems, are the most loyal BiH guests. As many as 57,042 tourists from Croatia registered their arrival in one of the BiH cities last year, which is about 10,000 more guests than second-placed Turkey.

Italians made 35,144 visits to BiH in 2014. However, the number of Italian guests in BiH is much higher, considering that Italians are the most frequent visitors to the shrine in Međugorje, but the largest number of them stay in Herzegovina without registration, especially those who come only for a day.

We had 28,251 guests from Slovenia, and as many as 22,596 tourists from distant South Korea.
