Hotel Mepas: Čović, Izetbegović, Sattler at Meeting in Mostar

(Patria) - SDA President Bakir Izetbegović, Vice President Denis Zvizdić, and HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović are holding a meeting at the Hotel Mepas in Mostar.

Ambassador Johann Sattler, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, will also join the meeting.

Discussions are certainly about the local elections in Mostar, amendments to the Election Law of BiH, and other current political issues. Last night, a dinner was planned, but Čović, Izetbegović, and others did not show up.

The meeting is secured by BiH police agencies.

Incidentally, members of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in a meeting of the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments in BiH, which will be held today in Mostar as part of the European Union Twinning project titled "European Union (EU) Support to Parliaments in Bosnia and Herzegovina in European Integration Affairs."

The meeting in Mostar is expected to include the President and Deputy President of both houses of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and the Assembly of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, EU Delegation Head in BiH Johann Sattler, as well as representatives of the National Assembly of Hungary, the Parliaments of Austria, and the Croatian Parliament, which are implementing the Twinning project.

Meeting participants will adopt a Priority Plan for parliaments in BiH to accelerate the European integration process and sign a Joint Statement expressing readiness to take measures to implement the Priority Plan and realize the 14 priorities from the Opinion on BiH's EU membership application.
