Hotel Konak in Konjic: Drunk Dutch Woman Pulled Waiter and Spilled Tray on Herself

The editorial office of the Patria news agency received a response from Hotel Konak in Konjic and its director Seja Ćiba regarding an article published about an incident that occurred in this hotel four days ago when guests from the Netherlands, according to their claims, experienced unpleasantness with the staff.

- The mentioned hotel guests, Dutch nationals, arrived at our hotel on the same day at 2:00 PM and settled into an apartment in the hotel's attic. It was a married couple with two children. Incidentally, all rooms in the hotel were occupied that day. The mentioned guests stayed in the apartment from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM, after which they came out of the apartment to the lower terrace with the intention of having dinner. After dinner and drinking wine and beer on the lower terrace, the Dutch lady asked the waiter to increase the air conditioning function and improve its parameters in the same to make the stay in the apartment as comfortable as possible - state from Hotel Konak.

For readers, we must note, it is stated in the response, that that day none of the guests had any complaints about the hotel's services and accommodation in the rooms.

- About ten minutes after the waiter intervened regarding the air conditioning in the room where the mentioned guests were staying, the lady came out of the apartment again and started yelling and screaming at the hotel staff. The waiters spoke normally with the lady and tried to calm her down. At that moment, the waiters continued serving other guests, of whom the terrace was full. At the moment when one of the waiters, with a tray full of drinks in his left hand and a plate with dessert in his right hand, was serving guests, the Dutch lady ran out onto the part of the terrace behind the waiter and pulled him back by the left shoulder from behind, incidentally yelling and screaming. While pulling the waiter backwards, she knocked over the tray full of drinks onto herself - it is stated.

As they claim from Hotel Konak, they immediately called the hotel director Seja Ćiba and informed him about the incident that had occurred.

- The director immediately arrived at the hotel and called the police. The police took statements from the guests and staff, and also inquired with other guests about the course of events. After that, the police conducted an interview with the Dutch guests, and only then did the Dutch guests settle the bills for dinner and the apartment, retrieve their documents, and leave the premises.

As they state from Konak, they have not had such "arrogant and inappropriate behavior from guests so far, nor would we wish to allow it."

- The services of our hotel have so far been used mostly by foreign guests who are satisfied with our service, as evidenced by their repeated visits.
