Hotel Konak in Konjic: Waiter Hits Dutch Woman with a Tray Full of Dishes

A married couple from the Netherlands with two children who came on holiday to Bosnia and Herzegovina will long remember their stay in our country, but not for good reasons, but because of the wild behaviour of a waiter at the Hotel Konak in Konjic where they were staying, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Namely, the room they had reserved at the Hotel Konak had no working air conditioning, so they asked the staff either to fix it or to give them another room. In the meantime, they went to have lunch, and after they did not get another room, an argument started, and the waiter hit the Dutch woman with a tray full of dishes. He gave her a large bruise under her eye, and the children got scared.

As stated in a comment on a social network written by a woman from Sarajevo who, by chance, met the married couple after the incident, after everything, the hotel director also came down, attacked the guests, and sided with the waiter.

- The police were called, they made a report and left, and the hotel director refused to return their passports until they paid the full price for using the room - the comment states.

The Patria agency called the Konjic Police Department, and the duty officer briefly said that they had not reported this incident.

The Dutch couple still went rafting on the Neretva River, but without staying in Konjic. They continued towards Sutjeska and Perućica.
