The play "Hotel Europe" will have its world premiere on the stage of the National Theatre Sarajevo on June 27th. It is a play based on the text by French philosopher and writer Bernard-Henri Levy, a great and proven friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and directed by renowned BiH director Dino Mustafić. The play will feature Jacques Weber, one of the greatest French actors, reports Patria.
This theatre piece is conceived as a monologue by the writer, a friend of Bosnia, who, confined to a hotel room in Sarajevo, prepares a speech about the future of Europe and its values. He also struggles with memories of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which Europe abandoned in its darkest moments, and the injustice inflicted upon it.
- The play is conceived as an appeal to Europe to settle its debt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, a beautiful suffering country and a country of high culture. The day after the world premiere, the launch of the major initiative 'One Million Signatures for BiH's accession to the European Union' will be formalized in Sarajevo, which will be implemented across Europe. The goal of the project is to help BiH take its place in Europe and remain, in the eyes of Europeans, a symbol of tolerance and coexistence - stated Bernard-Henri Levy.
The play will also have its French premiere in September, at Paris's Theatre de l'Atelier, and then in other European cities, as well as in New York.
The proud sponsor of this play is the company BH Telecom, reports Patria.
