Hodžić: DF offers a list with 60 percent young and successful people, for the Old Town you want

At the upcoming local elections, it is possible to vote for Democratic Front candidates for the first time, given that the party was formed in 2013. According to conducted surveys, the Democratic Front is among the leading parties when it comes to election results, writes the Patria News Agency.

They have nominated 21 candidates for mayoral positions, four of whom are women, and they also support a certain number of independent candidates. For municipal and city councils and assemblies, they have over 1,500 candidates, of whom more than 40% are women and the same percentage are young people.

Where the DF does not have its own candidate for mayor/city mayor or does not support a joint independent candidate, it is very important, as emphasized by the party, to win as many council mandates as possible.

In the Old Town, the Democratic Front has nominated 32 candidates for the Municipal Council. In their pre-election program, they state that municipal structures must become a service to citizens at their full hundred percent capacity.

Also, DF councilors who will serve on the Municipal Council will utilize vacant municipal spaces in the Old Town and offer them at favorable rental prices to demobilized soldiers and war veterans who are in difficult financial situations.

-The Democratic Front is appearing for the first time in these local elections. We need the support of citizens for the program we have prepared, and we do not intend to align with anyone to trade the mandates entrusted to us by the citizens, because these are the hands and the future of all of us and our children for the life we want, says Hamed Hodžić, the holder of the DF list for the Old Town Municipal Council, for NAP.

-Young people must be given more chances, because young people are a very important resource and the drivers of the Municipality's development. We must all work together to keep young people in the Old Town, to create conditions for them to start their own businesses. As a councilor, I will advocate for transparency of work, 24-hour availability, and daily communication with citizens, Hodžić explains.

He emphasizes that after the elections, the DF will not abandon the program it offers "to greedily take councilor fees and privileges".

-We offer a list of proven, capable, privately and professionally successful people. We offer an energetic list with over 60% young and successful people. Our list, which I lead, has enough courage and ideas to tackle all problems, and we have presented this in our 12-point program.

We cannot retain young people if we do not give them opportunities, we cannot allocate more for social categories if we do not strengthen the budget, we must address corruption if we want to attract investments, reorganize the administration, help the veteran population and pensioners, the sick, improve infrastructure..., states Hodžić.

He calls on citizens to give their vote to DF candidates on October 2nd, who will justify their trust with the message "for the Old Town you want".

The final pre-election rally of Democratic Front candidates for the Centar and Stari Grad municipalities will be held tonight at 7 PM at the Bosnian Cultural Center.
