Will the conclusions of the FBiH Government prevent the miners' strike on July 20

Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić informed Government members about negotiations with the Independent Union of Mine Workers in the FBiH, with whose representatives, since the appointment of this convocation of the FBiH Government until now, five meetings have been held to discuss possibilities of finding systemic solutions to their demands, reports the Patria news agency.

The Government also adopted a Conclusion that Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić sent to the Independent Union of Mine Workers in the FBiH, which states what the ministers have accepted.

- The FBiH Government notes that despite the funds invested under the Law on Financial Consolidation of Coal Mines in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for calculated but unpaid public revenues in the period from 2009 to 2015, and based on decisions of the Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine on the recapitalization of mines, totaling around 400 million marks, these have not yielded the desired results.

- The FBiH Government requests from the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the management of the Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine to submit information on the implementation of the Law on Financial Consolidation of Coal Mines in the FBiH for calculated but unpaid public revenues in the period from 2009 to 2015 and their effects, as well as the effects of recapitalization, and to provide an answer as to why the invested funds did not yield results, determine individual responsibility for this, and propose measures for the continuation of the consolidation of coal mines.- After receiving the information from the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine, the Government will request a thematic session of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the issue of mines.

- The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is fully committed to the further process of restructuring the mines, with a special emphasis on the process that will lead to the operational and financial recovery of the mines.

- The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina does not rule out a possible increase in the price of electricity, which the Union of Mine Workers in the Federation of BiH insists on, if the Regulatory Commission for Energy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina-FERK and the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina agree to it, although previous experiences in solving problems in this way have not resulted in achieving the desired goals.

- Therefore, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina considers it necessary beforehand to exhaust all possibilities that ensure a serious and consistent approach to the implementation of the aforementioned measures on restructuring and a significant improvement in the economy and efficiency of operations.

These are the conclusions of the Government on which the miners will subsequently declare themselves, who had announced a strike in front of the FBiH Government for July 20.
