Will the Council of Ministers finally ban entry into BiH with ID cards

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The BiH Council of Ministers is not working, which is evident from their lack of sessions. Crisis headquarters are currently taking care of the complete preparation for the coronavirus pandemic. Minister of Civil Affairs Ankica Gudeljević (HDZ) is the least heard from in public, and she is legally obliged to coordinate the situation between the entities.

The situation in our country is not yet alarming, but isolation facilities are being prepared. One is ready at Podhrastovi, and another will be near the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, it has been unofficially confirmed for Patria.

Fahrudin Radončić, BiH Minister of Security, while a guest on Face TV, criticized the inaction of the Council of Ministers and stated that he expects a telephone session to agree on important matters concerning the coronavirus.

“We must give instructions to the Border Police, and the second thing is to ban anyone from entering BiH with ID cards. Because when they enter with an ID card, their line of movement cannot be tracked. That is why we will suspend that decision,” said Radončić.

Otherwise, by law, a citizen of BiH cannot be turned back from the border, but they can be forced into self-isolation for 15 days.

“Tents at the borders serve to keep some people in isolation until we see if they are infected”, but this will be done in consultation with healthcare professionals.
