WILL RADONČIĆ REACT? Galić enabled millions to stay in RS, while FBiH gets migrants

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A new letter from the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina has arrived at the Patria agency. 

This time, border police investigated for Patria how much the accommodation of police officers from the MUP of RS, assigned to assist the Border Police on the eastern border of BiH, costs. 

“I found out that 20 police officers from the RS Gendarmerie are accommodated at the Hotel River in Bijeljina, assisting the Border Police in Bijeljina. The figure is staggering considering that full board with three meals at this hotel costs around 150 KM per police officer from RS, and they are continuously deployed in groups of 20 in Bijeljina”, state the border police officers.

They write that they learned from Director Galić that there are constantly 85 police officers from RS across BiH for more than two years. 

“So, a little math now - 85 police officers from the MUP of RS (Gendarmerie or regular police) cost 150 KM per police officer per day, which means the assistance of the MUP of RS police costs 12,750 KM daily. When we multiply this by 365 days a year, we get a staggering figure of 4,653,750 KM for just one year that remains in RS. When we multiply this by a little over two years, we get a figure of about 9 million KM that remains with economic entities in Republika Srpska (hotels were chosen based on the party affiliation of the owner and a bribe offer of more than 10 percent to pass the tender)”, add the conscientious members of the BiH Border Police. 

They further calculate that when this is converted into the salaries of border police officers for one year, i.e., dividing 4.6 million KM by the maximum salary of a border guard of 1,500 KM, including all other expenses, they get the figure that 250 border police officers could be paid with a salary of 1,500 KM.

“That is an amount of 375,000 KM multiplied by 12 months a year, and we get a result of 4,500,000 KM, which is the cost of 85 police officers from the MUP of RS. Now let the public judge for itself whether it is normal to pay for 85 police officers in assistance for almost three years, how many 250 border police officers could be paid, and cover the entire eastern border? The calculation is simple, and we see the consequences every day in Bihać, Tuzla, Sarajevo... The money stays in RS, and migrants are on the streets of cities in the Federation. We wonder if there is anyone smart enough in this country who cannot see such simple things realistically and put an end to this”, urge the BiH border guards.

Finally, they state that the public deserves to know why the recruitment of 100 police officers annually into the BiH Border Police is being stopped and limited, while the same number retires each year. 

“The entity of Republika Srpska receives 4.5 million KM in its budget every year, and the Federation of BiH receives ten thousand migrants. Who is smart here, and who is foolish”, emphasize the police officers. 

Given that the current Minister of Security of BiH, Fahrudin Radončić, has repeatedly pushed the economy through election campaigns, it is to be hoped that he will consider what the border police officers are writing about and stop the Director of the BiH Border Police, Zoran Galić, from financing Republika Srpska and deploying the Gendarmerie to the eastern border.
