(Patria) - The session of the House of Representatives of PS BiH, which was supposed to start at 11 AM, is delayed due to an extended session of the Collegium of the House, and as confirmed to Patria, the agenda will be expanded with the Proposal for a conclusion on the need for urgent initiation of the procedure for appointing the Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers of BiH, submitted by the caucuses of representatives who previously submitted a request to the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Borjana Krišto, for the appointment of Nebojša Vukanović as Minister of Security.
On March 18, five caucus leaders submitted a proposal to Krišto for the appointment of the Minister of Security, which she has not acted upon.
Given that the parties of the Trojka, as well as the opposition, are no longer giving Krišto a pass, stating that she is violating the Law on the Council of Ministers of BiH, today's conclusion is an attempt to speed up this procedure.
The position of the Minister of Security of BiH has been vacant since the end of January when Nenad Nešić resigned. He was arrested at the end of December and is in custody.
The ministry is managed by the deputy, Ivica Bošnjak (HDZ BiH), so it is clear that Krišto is not in a hurry to appoint a new minister, considering that they now have one more portfolio in the Council of Ministers of BiH.
On the other hand, in agreement with SNSD, Krišto proposed Goran Selak for the position of Minister of Security at the beginning of March, and a few days later he withdrew from further proceedings himself.
