Will City Councilors Support the European Grbavica Project?

City Councilor Hasan Hodžić, along with colleagues from the Independent List for My City Club, proposed an amendment to the Sarajevo City budget proposal, which relates to allocating funds for the European Grbavica.

Hodžić, explaining the amendment, cited positive changes at FK Željezničar in the past period, both in terms of results on the field and in the administrative part. He then explained the socially responsible aspect, stating that Željezničar has taken more than 1,000 boys off the streets, mentioned the large number of national team players from pioneer to senior selections, and that the future Grbavica Stadium can be the home of the BiH national team, and thus the City of Sarajevo.

According to the proposal by Councilor Hodžić, it is necessary to redirect 300,000 KM from the budget for the Trebević Cable Car revitalization project, for which 3,500,000.00 KM is planned, and include it in a new project called European Grbavica.

The management of Football Club Željezničar expresses hope that the City Councilors will respond positively to this proposal and that the City of Sarajevo will actively engage in the European Grbavica construction project.

Additionally, it was requested that 5,000 KM be redirected from the grant intended for SFF in the amount of 50,000 KM to Miloš Božović, a young footballer from FK Slavija who is ill.
