HNS acknowledges the "Kovačević" ruling, then lashes out: Political representatives will not be imposed on Croats

(Patria) - The Croatian National Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has acknowledged the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of "Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina".

However, they remind the domestic public and the international community that the applicant is a long-time unitarist activist and advisor to the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH, the usurper of the position of the Croat member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina!?

"As admitted before the ruling was made, his and other political activists' interest is not the protection and promotion of human rights, but their ultimate goal is to abolish the constitutiveness of peoples and impose a unitarist political system.

The goal of this radical political agenda is to achieve an order in which Bosniaks, being the most numerous constituent people, will rule in a unitary state and impose their representatives on Croats and everyone else. The Croatian National Assembly remains committed to the Dayton Peace Agreement, which guarantees peace among the three constituent peoples. Attacks on fundamental constitutional principles, including the equality of constituent peoples, contribute to the instability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and slow down its European path.

The Croatian National Assembly believes that all decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, as well as the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, should be implemented, including the decision on legitimate representation and equality of constituent peoples at all administrative-political levels, and the cessation of discrimination against Jews, Roma, and other minority groups, as well as all other citizens due to the violation of their passive electoral rights.

The Croatian National Assembly believes that certain interpretations of the "Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina" ruling and other rulings made as a result of the political activism of unitarist politicians from BiH before the European Court of Human Rights cannot question the equality of Croats, Bosniaks, and Serbs.

These comments are politically motivated, unfounded in human rights, and contrary to the Dayton Peace Agreement. We welcome the statements of the European Court of Human Rights that the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina should decide what the best political system is and how to address the issue of human rights discrimination," the statement reads.
