KS Government in urgent session, dam in Kyiv did not break

(Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton is holding an urgent session due to the flood situation in the capital. The situation is particularly critical in Otes and parts of Ilidža, and citizens living in flooded houses are being evacuated.

As announced by the KS Government, the public will be continuously informed about all adopted measures and conclusions in the coming period, during the day, in order to do everything possible to quickly repair and help the affected residents of Sarajevo Canton.

Enes Memić, director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, emphasized that all available teams are on the ground, and they are also in contact with the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The dam in Kyiv did not break, but the water accumulation is large, and road communication has been interrupted," Memić told NAP.

Let us remind you that swollen rivers have caused floods in many Sarajevo settlements. The situation is most difficult in the area of the Ilidža municipality and East Sarajevo.
