Urgently establish executive authority in FBiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH

The Delegation of the European Union and the Office of the Special Representative of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasize the exceptional importance of forming authorities at all levels as the most urgent issue, it was announced today from the Delegation, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- The European Union calls on all actors to intensify efforts and finalize all procedures in this regard. The establishment of new authorities is necessary to initiate much-needed reforms aimed at solving the problems of citizens, especially in the context of the difficult economic situation in the country. Namely, the new authorities will have a key role, in accordance with their competencies, in the preparation and implementation of reform programs related to the new European Union initiative.
 
Therefore, the European Union calls on all relevant political parties to intensify efforts without further delay to appoint the executive authority in the Federation of BiH, namely the President and Vice Presidents, as well as the Government. The European Union also calls on the authorities to finalize the procedure for appointing the Council of Ministers in the shortest possible time.
